Finding mystery in her eyes
even after loving,
there are moments that set my mind spinning;
it is not what she might be thinking,
more what she gives me, to feel, and wonder.
She is like a piece of art
the marble bearing the print of someone’s life,
a face behind veils of longing, mirrored pleasures,
impressions of loving, a melody to my soul.
We sat in a café in the islands, looking at the sunset;
the cliffs and the sea, and the sunset, sipping lanquidly,
she noticed and finally smiled, I didn’t watch the lights on the water,
no, it was the fading gold upon her face that was my treasure, yes.
I can’t be long at this,
because every moment that I spend thinking
is a moment that could be better spent, gazing at her,
touching her softly, or beholding a little mystery.

You have an amazing amount of love in your life, I am envious.

Beautiful

Lovers, sunsets, the sea ... it's what islands are made for.

So beautiful, romantic and soft as the colours of sunset this is. I remember a time like this in my life too - and I carry it within my eyes too - just like this poem stays lit in the eyes. The title is perfect too - loved it!
