Their voices are poetry
My brother and sister
poking fun of me
Their laughter is poetry
Mom and dad
once again lecturing
Their love is poetry
They don't write it down
They don't even see

Thanks for entering our contest! I'm afraid we disagree that not everyone is a poet! The differences we all share in this world is what makes life interesting. Not everyone could be a doctor, or a car mechanic for instance. We all have our niche in this life, Bob feels poets are different because of their ability to put into words emotions, sights and sounds that not everyone can. It doesn't make one person better than another, thats not what he's trying to say. Just that we all are different in our own special way! Best of luck to you, Kelly & Bob

I think my point wasn't quite grasped. Just because some of us put our poetry to words doesn't mean we're the only poets. Everyone is poetic in what they do.. the doctor who carefully cares for his patient is a poet in his work, etc... Life is full of poetry, maybe our ability to put it into words rather than act it out makes us less of a poet
