Starving to Death

Missing image

                HUNGRY, STOMACH GROWLING

ARMS SO COLD AND BODY ACHING

                SOME WOULD THINKING

                GOSH YOU ARE FAKING!

NO, THAT IS WHAT IT'S LIKE

AN INSATIABLE HUNGER FOR THE NIGHT

                 TO  FIND SOMEONE  YOU LOVE

AND BE WARM AND TOLD YOUR SPECIAL

                  NO ONE LIKE YOU, BABE

                  AND NO ONE IN VALUE

                  NO ONE IN THE WORLD

                   I'D DO ANYTHING FOR YOU

                   YOU'RE MY QUEEN, MY SUNSHINE

                    YOU'RE JUST EVERYTHING TO ME

                     BABY, YOU'RE MY LIFE,

                      WITHOUT YOU, I'D NOT BE!

Author notes

We can all be fed, clothed, but if there is no love, what is there....Words, actions.....to show love makes partners feel they only exist perhaps....

I agree...if there were no love the world would indeed be a strange and desolate place. I surely wouldn't want to be around. A very thought-provoking entry.

Thank you for this entry and the best to you.

    Much LOVE ♥

Very nice poem about the yearning for love! It really shows that no matter what we have without love it doesn't measure up!
