I wish I were a seagull
Flying free above the sea
I wish I were a seagull
Soaring past the wind roaring
I would fly across the sands
My wings a silent sail
Gliding past forgotten lands
To me the sands would hail
The sky would be my palace
The clouds would be my throne
The waves would be my servants
The sun my golden crown
I'd sing along with the breeze
My song of joyful freedom
I'd skim along the pure blue seas
The ocean would be my kingdom
I'd see it all
The land, the sea, the sky
Doubt would never befall
My keen and watchful eye
I wish I were a seagull
Flying free above the sea

And that it could be me
