Watching Eyes

Capture the moment,
Crystal clear...
The breeze through the trees,
A fire that quickens and spreads,
Eyes watching close as
A mouse scurrying over dead leaves...
Swoop down, deadly -
The ultimate hunter perfected
Once again carries away
Its weak, feeble prey.

Author notes

if you think some bits rhyme - it wasn't intentional.

hope its okay.

I like the suddenness of death. One minute the mouse is scurrying over leaves, the next he is bird food. Isnt that the truth?!?
