If you just have to fall in love {{to my 16 year old self}}

If you find your self having to
say yes when the boy you've been thining of asks
you the question you've been writing in your diary,
i ask that you, think before, you kiss him
because it will lead to things that really are horrible

If you just have to kiss him,
because you are tired of dreaming of it
i ask you, that you think before you let him touch you
before you fall victim to those strong hands that grasp
your face softly and make tears squeak from your eyes
before you sigh afterwards and give in

If you just have to let him touch you
i ask you think of your surroundings
booze and rock music are not exactly the right way
think of whose in the other rooms and what they would do
if they knew
think before you leap down that spiraling staircase
because each step will hit your spine and make you cry

and if you just have to fall in love,
with that boy, i ask you, beg, plead you, bribe
younger me, dont do it! you dont have to!
but if you just HAVE to, i ask
that you run away

    This could use just a bit of work.  Some polishing. I like where you have taken this but I really wish there had been more. Was this person all you'd want to share of with your younger self? I see that it is very personal and serious but I cannot help but think there should be more for you to share. Nicely done. Thank you for entering and best of luck to you.

    Run away..

    I really like this, and it's something that can be shared not only to your 16 year old self, but too any teenager who falls fast in love.. We all do it so often that it's not even funny, and it kills us on the inside when the boys we fall in love with thinks with not their head.. (Or perhaps with their head, just not the one on their neck)

    It's a really good peice... Thanks for sharing and please keep writing..
