To my twelve year old self:
Live happy and be yourself, and don’t let anyone tell you your worthless.
Quit walking down the streets with your head bowed.
To make more friends you must be a friend no matter what.
Popular girls have their problems too, and stop feeling sorry for yourself.
Your life is not that bad, and your parents love you; others will too someday.
If you mean it when you smile others will mean it too.
Cameron Rodgers is not the center of your universe he is a nerdy perverted boy.
If you step away from the mirror and look within you will be happy with yourself.
You can be anything if you work hard enough, and don’t be scared if it is bloody in the end.
Listen to no one unless it coincides with what your heart says.
You have a year until your thirteen so stop acting like you aren’t a kid.
Open your mind and let others worlds in.
Don’t second guess yourself and pick the flowers once in awhile.
Picking flowers and spinning in circles looks really weird when your seventeen.
When your on the park swing, swing high and close your eyes.
Do not tell William you love him best friends do not make good boyfriends.
You do not know everything, and you never will.
If I can tell you this one thing twelve year old you were kind of a brat.
You never held the ones you love when they needed you the most.
You were selfish you let others down including yourself.
But you will grow up too be.....
A kind, caring, loving, sarcastic person, a dreamer, a romantic, a bitch, a push over, a survivor, a fighter, a wise one, and someone who hasn't quite figured it out, and still needs a few good lumps on the head.

I loved the tone of this...so conversational, and so many places where it made me smile...It has definitely inspired me...I will be writing a letter to my eighteen-year-old-self very very soon.

'Cameron Rodgers is not the center of your universe he is a nerdy perverted boy.'
hehehe that made me laugh...though, I am sure it is serious...was just cute is all. I really love this. You've gone the direction I was hoping for. Raw, honest and wise. Nicely done. Thank you for entering and best of luck to you.

Hehe. just a few years from 12 I can relate to this, though I also think I idealize my 12 year old self.
Anyway, this is rather brave. But if you have a chance never send it back- you'll mess up everything! -
a few good lumps...
We were all brats at twelve... some of us still are!
Well written and good advice!
