Kay

Angels stand outside your door,
They’ve come to take you home.
Until it’s time they’ll comfort you,
So you won’t feel alone.

I know it’s hard to say goodbye,
There’s still so much to do.
All those things now have to wait,
The Lord is calling you.

He needs another angel,
To help him do his work.
A big responsibility,
That one can’t lightly shirk.

We all will miss you greatly,
When it’s time for you to leave.
Our hearts will fill with sorrow,
And our spirits start to grieve.

But we will not forget,
The promise that God gave.
All who put their trust in him,
Are those whom he will save.

Please don’t be afraid, dear Kay;
Your trust was not in vain.
Our Savior waits to meet you,
As you leave this earthly plane.

You will see the wonders,
Which are waiting for us all.
When it comes to be our time,
And we answer God’s call.

As for me, I say so long;
So long but not goodbye.
I will see you once again,
When it’s my time to die.

One by one he calls us home,
And sets our spirits free.
I can’t think of a better place,
To spend eternity

Please tell me what you think

This is wonderful and inspirational also. I recently lost my brother and best friend last month and I just don't want to let him go. It is our birthday today. We had ur birthday's on the same day so I got him for my second birthday. I am two years older then him. As we got older I always spent my birthday with him. Now I am lost without him... I am so lost now.

    Very Nice

I've seen other poems written along these lines, they're loving and filled with both hope and sadness; in it is a truth universal, that with its variation make up a nature of the spirit of man, that reveals how close we really are, and how we did come from One.

    OH WOW just beautiful

Wow another great poet out there. I could absolutely feel just what you were saying, your words are both inspireing and very beautiful. I just love this poem you capture it perfectly. It amazes me the depth of understanding you give with your words of what it is that people need to hear at such a time I could feel the emotion here. There is absolutely nothing that I didn't like about this poem. there was no part that was awkward in it either at least for me it is just such a fine piece of writing. It also is in the style that I write so it made it much more enjoyable for me to read. The Title is self explanetary. The first line sets the tone splendidly and the last line sums up just what this poem is about, very beautifuly as well. I wouldn't change a thing in it. Why spoil a masterpiece. Great writing.
