All the time...
She's the painting, and the music and the rhyme.
It's the same...
In the evening hours the river speaks her name.
All is still...
I have loved her always, and I always will.
She's the whisper in the darkness
and the giver of the light
She's the wind that moves the willow
and a shadow of the night
She's a star on the horizon
just before the break of dawn
and her spirit is the reason
I have strength to carry on
It's the same...
In the evening hours the river speaks her name.
All the time...
She's the painting, and the music and the rhyme.
All is still...
I have loved her always, and I always will.

Wow, this is really amazing and beautiful dedication to your muse. I really loved this verse "She's the whisper in the darkness
and the giver of the light
She's the wind that moves the willow
and a shadow of the night
She's a star on the horizon
just before the break of dawn
and her spirit is the reason
I have strength to carry on

You know Rake, I read this the other day. I must've gotten interrupted before I could comment. I think this is lovely. Our muse can be our closest heart at times...sometimes the opposite but mostly "she" is us and is in us...ya know. I love this one too. Well done my friend.

Excellent
I have never before seen the scheme you have used and it works extremely well! The tone is soft, almost magical, and I would second the suggestion of it making a wonderful song. Good luck in the competition that we have both entered:-)
Drayton.
P.S. The only criticism I have is that the title is rather simple, given that the poem is so beautiful and unique.

I love this in it's entirety! The words in the first few lines, and the middle how you used those perfect describing and rhyming words, and to finish it off, it was so sweet. Loved it!! Good luck with the contest.

This reads so well, like it would make an amazing song(not that it isn't already amazing). I love the rhyme scheme of the first and last part and how you switched it up. Well done!
