A blue Elephant is never seen, perhaps there is one existing
Or maybe a yellow cow with pink spots, hiding in the wallpaper
Children see with innocence , we have no visions of life
Simplicity is for children, complexity is the grown state, finding out
Where have the fairy tales gone? Mother told as she read at bedtime
The room still with the love of family and a place of happiness
Shadows on the wall, awaiting dreams to follow like another day
Sleep a pattern of happy time, without stress and giving comfort
Is peace a place, happiness for a few with understanding and hope
Power a soft warmth, belonging to an intimate life of being
Do we just struggle, not knowing what the day will bring, the day will go
Perhaps we are blue Elephants and yellow Cows, hiding in the wall paper..
Please tell me what you think

Hello Gordie, This reminds me of an old song, Where Have All the Flowers Gone. I think as we grow up we want to hang onto the security and innocence of childhhod when we still believed dreams could come true because we thought fairytales were true. Perhaps we can find them again hiding in the wallpaper.
Thanks for sharing. You have a nice evening. Sandy

Hi Buchan.
Its really an abstracto-naturous approach to poetry, attributed to the deep vision. The verse has still been enriched by the last(but not the least, rather"the most" adorable) stanza.
Thanks for sharing,
warm regards,
Himadri.
