I've been away from home
for such a long time
what I once called home
may no longer be mine
The people I left there
have, as I, settled else where
Everything in my life has changed
from the water I drink
to my favorite sage chair
Food is complete different
here it's mostly green
I've lived many places
but this place has
the most green food I've seen
They have this one piece of
fruit or vegetable
I'm not sure
I really don't know what
I describe it as a bright green soldier in armor
who's armors been cut
To eat it you have to remove most of it
and throw it away
To me that's a waste of green money
and for this green thing called an artichoke
I refuse to pay
