Across the world and throughout time
war has plagued this earth for much
with seven reasons why we cannot live in peace.
Lustful thoughts to appease primal instincts
gluttony to gratify desired excesses,
greed for power and money to influence
and sloth for others to do our bidding.
Wrath when we're denied our own results of selfishness
envy at what others have, not satisfied with what we have.
Pride combined in all above as we fight for self importance.

This is a good poem about tyranny…I agree with you that we, ourselves, are the ones who actually bring downfall to our own lives…I love how you connect the seven sins to tyranny…this is a powerful testament that if we still living in sins then tyranny would not stop…

Excellent take on the 7 deadly sins. Thought provoking write.

-
deadly sins
The seven deadly sins sum it all up and modern society seems as guilty as ever. You have said this in wonderful language in your vivid poem. It certainly leaves much food for thought.

the seven deadly sins + u = perfect

I think you have graphed not only war, but much of the cause for inhumanity and human suffering on this planet.
Great write!
