Like lightning leaving its mark on the Earth's surface,
your now forgotten love is etched on my heart eternally.
The smoldering embers of this hatred engulf my very existence,
leaving me charred and choking on life.
Like a steady stream of smoke,
I swirl aimlessly away from everyone and anyone.
Afraid to once again be smothered by my own insecurities,
I let myself fade to ashes and be carried away in this whirlwind called 'Life'.
My remains are scattered randomly among nothing and I simply blend into the background,
waiting to be forgotten.

Ms Roxy, what is this? You, dear lady are not forgotten, nor could you ever be. Too many people depend on you for there daily happiness, surely that alone should make those lips of yours curly on the edges (smile) from the pleasure of being needed. --- God you’re a clever poet, I’m sure this poem was put here to wind me up, to give you a good laugh. (It worked this end) ----- Thank you -----
