Your eyes pierced right through me
Breaking up my heart
Your words drove down inside
And tore me all apart
I became nothing more
Than a hollow shell
My world with you had gone from bliss
Into a perfect Hell
I crawled inside myself,
To block you from coming in
The only thing that held me together
Was my barrier of skin
With nothing soft inside me
I harden up like stone
I wouldn’t hear your apologizes
I told you to leave me alone
But soon my anger ebbed
Just like the daily tide
And then there I was
Huddled down alone inside
I wished you would return
With every fiber of my soul
But I had caused a chain reaction
That had gone out of control
With blackness sinking in
I felt I was close to death
I could only cry out
And whisper your name with every breath
What I wouldn’t give
Just to be yours again
If you gave me one more chance
I’d tear through my skin

This is so dark and the flow is so perfect. Such a joy to read, though the content was much less then joyful, packed with sorrow. Thanks for entering and good luck.

i liked the wording but i felt it seemed a little bare, not the raw emotion and power i was hoping for. it was a well written piece, i just personally feels it lacks something
-
Very nicely written, I am impressed.
