a la hard rock of the '80s

thousand bright lights shining
bring you to your knees
here comes tribulation
cure to your disease

and oh!

did you think you’d have a while
said all your goodbyes?
feathered your rejections
with the kiss of lies?

brighter, louder! now

laughter, laughter echoes
chorus of mistakes
waylaid with tomorrows
darling, it’s too late

you tried--

metaphors and mumbling
guilt not quite erased
getting too hot, honey?
this is just a taste

more!

momma warned you long ago
devil’s got his way
come now, pretty darling
time for you to pay

(guitar solo)

thousand bright lights shining
on an empty stage
as dust gathers on the sins
of a long gone age

Author notes

eh.

oh, yeah:

credit Guns N' Roses with something about knees and possibly diseases. goes well to the tune of 'welcome to the jungle'.

if you had to choose an era-specific hairstyle, which age would you choose?

i grew up so to speak in the 80's( was in my early twenties) and hanging out watching the bands was most peoples pastimes..unless you went to a dance club...LOL... Axel Rose could've been so much more if he wasn't such a schizo..LOL... peace and harmony...desi

In regards to the question, I think I'd pick the 20's. I love the flapper look.

As to the piece- it is very reminiscent of the butt-rock scene. I caught the tail end of that, and I'm glad for the experience, and glad it was the tail end.
