You Loved Me Back to Life

Just last night I had this dream,
My grandfather was calling me,
he looked so weak but had a smile for me,
I looked down and started to cry,
when I saw how they opened me up
and stitched me back up...

I was feeling tired like I walked so far,
but then I hear gramp's voice again,
calling me and I found a weak little smile,
I hear him asking me to follow him,
So I got up and walked after him,
We passed my mom, my aunts and sisters
and they looked surprised to see us,
Mom asked where we're going and gramp's
didn't say anything, and we walked on.
I knew something was wrong but my mind's too fuzzy,
I should be in bed and then I stiffened...
How can I be walking with my grandfather,
I must be dreaming because I just remembered
I cried so much the day he died...
We were waiting now for our ride,
My grandfather and I... I saw a vehicle
coming but the driver I don't recognize,
We were leaving my grandfather and I,

And then a voice I should recognize,
calling me... baby, wake up...
One arm reaching around my waist,
the other on my dying heart...
I feel his warm breath before it
touched my lips and suddenly
the dream shattered around me.

I opened my eyes and focused on my
beloved's face, his lids a dark crescent
upon still slumbering eyes...
He woke me up in his sleep
and what my love didn't know,
He loved me back to life...
