I wait for sleep to over come me,
So that I can fall into the waiting arms of dreams.
And fall I do.
Breathing,
In and out,
As I lazily lap up the golden shores,
Spitting out rugged shells and smooth mermaid pouches.
Splitting,
Into a thousand tiny pieces,
Finding new unvisited worlds,
Only to meet up with myslef again.
People passing,
Just glancing on the surface,
Never bothering to look farther into the depths.
Until that one idea sparks an interest,
And curiosity is ignited,
Causing divers to visit the unknown.
With the warm wind roaring over head,
And the calm waters beneath my surface,
I am the Ocean.
With a power I can not even comprehend.
And then with a twitch of my eyes,
I wake up,
And I am just me.
So that I can fall into the waiting arms of dreams.
And fall I do.
Breathing,
In and out,
As I lazily lap up the golden shores,
Spitting out rugged shells and smooth mermaid pouches.
Splitting,
Into a thousand tiny pieces,
Finding new unvisited worlds,
Only to meet up with myslef again.

And I am just me.
Author notes
I always loved the ocean when I was little, and I still do. Everything about it fascinated me, how it coud change from calm to crashing waves, and how it could hold thousands of lives, and how so many people and creatures depended on it. And in some weird ways I can relate myslef to it, so I did. kinda...

please tell me if you can tell how I personify the ocean to imitate myself. I would like to see what people have to say about this.
