The Inconsistincy of Words to Come Together and Mean Something

The ghost of the fourth,
Came as a surprise,
And asked me,

"Why did you kill me?"

I froze,
It was a shock.

Fortunately,
Jack answered,

"We didn't kill you."

The ghost of the fourth,
Was unable to comprehend,
So Jack explained,

"To live an empty life,
Is essentially in its core,
To be dead"

The ghost of the fourth disappeared.

Jack had not fully satisfied me,
So I once again ventured,
And asked him,

"What was that you said?"

Jack turned,
Smiled,
And replied,

"Do you not hear your own words?"

And the words that Jack said,
Were once again heard,
It wasn't his voice however,
That I had heard to begin with.

It was then that I realized,
That it was I,
Who had answered the ghost,

And what I had said was,

"To live an empty life,
Is essentially in its core,
To be dead."

well there is much to say about this piece... in fact there is much to say about anything, yet some things are rather better left unsaid.

    Ah.

It seemed bipolar to me, but in a different way. More in depth, and not crazy-like.

    "To live an empty life,
    Is essentially in it score,
    To be dead."

I loved those three lines with a passion. They really made me think.

    Great piece.

This piece just got better and better the further I read, and it's really great that you end it with a repetition about what was said... by... I can see what you say about this poem in your author notes. I could say a lot about it. The quote from Ra, off course, really fits. Both with your notes and with the piece. "Do you not hear your own words?" You add to this piece with the conversations, a ghost who is told - he killed himself by living an empty life. And with that said Jack and his companion (two in one) isn't murderers? yes or no, or it isn't that simple..? I hope this all makes sence, so before I'll make it even weirder. I'll sum up. It's a complicated piece, displaying complicated lives, obviosly ("The ghost of the fourth" - the fourth... meaning three before that ghost...). Even though it's complicated, in a lot of ways it's perfecty clear to me. I really like it! It's so well written, a structure that really brings out the best in these words!
    A strong piece!
