Hark, all ye and ye shall hear
A tale of glory, fate and fear
Of noble cause, wounds un-healed
The Ǽlfin lord with loins of teal
Across the seas of ancient lore
His tunic revealed his chest and more
Striking fear in mortals and gods alike
With each earth-shattering scimitar strike
More fearsome than his weapon plastic
An amulet of proportions drastic
Strung about his neck so fast
His untouchable back-stage pass
Amid the foes of sci-fi past
He fought to make a fantasy last
Told them all just what they could do
With Asimov, Sagan, and Heinlein too
Alas, three days of battle ensued
And the conventioneers left in the foulest of mood
The Ǽlfin, with loins of teal like no other,
Fell homesick and called his mother
None would aid in his time of need
He lacked an automotive steed
All his sci-fi friends were peeved
Mother dearest helped him leave
Thus the saga comes to a close
The Ǽlfin master scantily clothed
He lives to fight another day
Should his mother agree it’s okay.

Lmao! I'd love to take a voyage through the mysterious recesses of your mind, I'm certain I'd find some hilarious moments, scarey cupboards, beautiful scenery and plenty of riddles and unfinished thoughts.
Peace Georgia

This is a wonderful write, a great take on the prompt taking into consideration being a trekkie and the convention aspect of it all, very well done. Best of luck...Scott
