The shot rang into the distance as Geniside fired the gun at her lover. Geniside, once her admired father figure, had become Alex's worst enemy. Geniside was the leader of their clan. The clan of vampires. However, he had broken rules on several occasions. And now, When Alex fell into love with a human, he decided to follow the rules and hunt down the human that stole Alex's affection. Her heart sunk at the sound of a muffled groan and heard Hayden slink to the floor in a bath of his own blood. Her eyes filled with burning tears as she turned to Geniside. From behind her she heard a sigh and a deep breath. Alex ran to Hayden with unnatural speed. From the corner of her eye she saw Geniside disappear into a black mist. Her tears stayed in the corners of her eyes as she looked over him.
"It-its ok Hayden. I can fix it. I can save you."
Alex's voice cracked with pain. She put her teeth to his neck, to turn him, to save his life. Hayden turned away and shook his head faintly.
"No.. No Alex. It's my time to go.."
Alex shook her head violently,
"No Hayden! I can't let you go. Your the only think that ever meant anything to me in this world. It doesn't matter what everyone thinks, we don't have to hide. We can live our lives. please...please!"
Hayden still shook his head and then touched her cheek.
" I will never leave you."
With that he drifted off into a eternal human sleep.
A sleep that Alex would never experience for thousands of years...
Thousands of years without the only existance that meant so much more to her.
