The excellency of Wisdom cries to the simple of heart
But fools rival in their folly for their selfish part
Few seek values of wealth of Wisdom’s treasured chest
The pride of man puffs 'em up with delusions at best
Humility speaks bowed at the foot of Victory’s Cross
Pride lifts up folly for rebounding sins that cost
I’d like to believe that I need not answer to anyone
Yet there are staircases of boss's to all kinds of fun
Christ offers Redeeming-LIGHT, success for what ails
Men love drama for its boisterous attention-getting gales
Though there’s a better way, or plan, it’s the narrow path
Mooner or swooners detractor with envy’s admiration wrath
Flattery battered by puffed-up egos to craftily allure
Promoting self, and others, with sin’s sick prison-cure
Admiration will never show you her ‘envy’ till late
Only God is to be trusted; men procure selfishly for hate
Please tell me what you think

A strong message wrapped in eloquent words. Only GOD is to be trusted indeed, only HE understands what goes on in our minds and why. I just watched the movie Spartacus, which presents a painfully accurate (eventhough it might be dramatized) view on the mechanism of evil. Cleverly polished dialogs that inevitably lead to brutal violence, betrayal and destruction. It has been the way of mankind for too long. I must admit that I am often tempted to hope that GOD may become so fed up with this that HE will end the evil ways of the dark. In which ignorant man plays a part that is utterly regrettable (this is an understatement). Thank you for creating wonderful poetry that includes meaningful thought. May The Light set alight the darkness surrounding us and attempting to pierce into the very core of our being.
