Is the life I am living
really a choice, like paper or plastic?
The record is caught on the needle
And the record begins to skip
And the record begins to sk-
Should I introduce myself as Bond
because I'm good at keeping up disguises
and I guess I can be considered a double agent
A traitor, who keeps crossing enemy lines
How can I tell you who I am,
If I don't know myself
Whoever said ignorance is bliss
was only fooling them self
Because even if the record plays with out a hitch
It still circles where it started
from beginning to end
and whether its on a different niche
it looks the same to the naked eye

I loved this. I'm so used to reading poems that rant and rave and claim the rest of the world is wrong for treating homosexuals so badly. This poem caught me by surprise. Instead of listing what's wrong with everyone else, you focused on your own inner conflict. Thanks entering and gracing my contest with your presence.

Loved the third stanza and enjoyed the write, lord knows why we all need an analysis of who we should or should not love, let it be if it lifts the heart, let it be.
