Our Lot

Three sisters one brother,
That's what I've got,
Four girlie's, one fella,
We're known as 'Our Lot',

We squabble and fight,
But we get on alright,
We laugh and we giggle,
Get narky and niggle,

There's one left at home,
All by herself,
The youngest of us,
But not left on the shelf,

The rest of us live,
In homes of our own,
Three have got partners,
One all alone,

Two have got kiddies,
Two have got dogs,
One collects unicorns,
One collects hogs,

We all get together,
On New Years Eve,
Round at 'Our Mams' house,
To eat, talk and tease,

Two years and four months,
Between the top two,
Then one year and one year,
It carries on through,

It's hard to believe,
That we've grown up at last,
With lives of our own,
Our childhood passed,

But when we're together,
You know what to say,
Four girlie's, one fella,
It's 'Our Lot' it'll stay.

Author notes

The title comes from the local dialect in the part of England where I'm from. An example - our kid, our joe, our sue. Also other local dialect terms are - narky (grumpy), Mam - (mum), Niggle - (argue). Hope you like it anyway.
