Burning bridges
Is the only way to stay sane
Or the fire could consume your own body
Until your heart is just as charred and black
As the soul of the one who has already broken it
So many times before
Leaving you so torn and helpless
Lying on the asphalt FACE DOWN!
Only to watch you bleed
What you've already bled 1,000 times before
AND ONCE AGAIN like a broken record
"I don't love you anymore"
She says to break the perfection
You've worked so hard to build
Now it's worthless and gone
And only fuels the fire that burns you to ash
These are the scars that never heal
The wounds you always feel
The ones that will tear back open
When your only one breath away
From forgiving her for the things she's done!
It unfolds just like a story
That seems so familiar
Like you've seen it before,
Because you know you have
Yet you try for it once again .........
Is this really what she wanted all along?
