Heliotropes

Day awakes;
Seeping through crevasses-
windows, doors, floors, and vinyl sidings;
Reaching through shades drawn on night's window,
its flowing fingers nuzzle faces,
bless misty eyed foreheads.
A shiny spectrum,
chiseling dreams of stoney stillness
into trilling bird choirs
to tickle empty ears with
whispers deeply drawn from night's
departing song.

Stretching,
Dawn arises.
We join,
as heliotropic heaven
awaits our presence
'neath her yawning sun.

Please tell me what you think

    Great Stuff

    That was a really great description of the start of a new day: and the change from night into day. I like the early morning hours myself. I liked the lines
    "Reaching through shades drawn on night's window,
    its flowing fingers nuzzle faces," and,
    "into trilling bird choirs," best of all; the last line really brought memories of birds in the morning back to me.
