open distance
and unheard lullabies
chained to the void of the deaf
stare not as the blind do,
listening eyes.
visions of hearing
listening with my existence
perfect senses marred by sophistication
trapped in it's blanket of silence.
blocking humanity,
needs are blind
await comfort as those of the world.
learned eye contact
turn to the endless tune.
open eyes and ears
now deaf to noise,
and blind to drama.
our people speech
from nothing lives
shields others from ourselves
Author notes

now deaf to noise,
and blind to drama.
