Tear Stains On My Pillow

I have tear stains on my pillow
Because my love is lost
We had so many future dreams
But we couldn't take the cost

It pains me so to look at you
Sleeping in your bed
But you rip my heart out everyday
Which makes me crazy in the head

You locked my heart in the darkest box
Then threw away the key
I wish that God would save my soul
And give it back to me

You said that you don't want me
And that cut me like a knife
And even so I love you still
And want to be your wife

I guess I'll cry forever
Though I'll try to understand
I'll never love another soul
Not child, nor beast, nor man

My soul is falling helplessly
As I grasp for every vine
My life has gone to pieces
My eyes have lost their shine

I pray for release from all this pain
For the love I couldn't keep
The depth of love still felt for you
Is the reason why I weep

Tears still fall upon my pillow
But I will try to carry on
How could a love that felt so right
Turn out to be so wrong

I'll kiss your lips and bid you well
No matter how I ache
You'll always be inside my heart
But my love you still forsake

Goodbye my love, goodbye my light
Goodbye to all my dreams
I wish it didn't have to be this way
What you want is this it seems

I will always hold you in my heart
You will always be in my thoughts
I thank you for the time we had
I say this overwrought

    You did an amazing job with this. Honey, you don't need him, you are gonna fall for someone who is amazing and is totally in love with you. I love the title of your poem, I can relate to this a lot. But hey, bleach those stains out with a new kind of love. You are gonna have a love that colors your world. Excellent job with this poem. I love the theme of love lost and you captured that theme and put it into remarkable words.

    that is so beautiful and heartbreaking and real. I love this. I didn't have time the other day to read it, and for that I apologize. I know it seemed as if I viewed it and did not comment. That is so far from true. I love this very much. Flow and rhythm and meaning@!!! Great write!
