Buds catching their first sunlight,
turn hues of light pink
as they open,
you can not think.
They are lovely,
but fragile;
when you see them,
you have to smile.
The trees that bare them,
make up for their weakness,
so tall and majestic,
in their sturdiness.
The tulips,
in full bloom below,
peak out
of the fading snow.
The daffodils,
are next to take their part;
in adding to the cheer
to spring's start.
After all the blossoms
have turned into leaves,
there is nothing,
but slight sorrow of summer's eves.
All the daffodils and tulips,
dead,
before spring's set time
has ended.
