I looked up in the sky as I wonder why...
I was not meant to see you just this one last time
No farewell words were spoken and my heart was broken,
No time to say any "Goodbyes".
Now all I have is time to cry.
While my heart forever aches with the sadness
So many things were left unsaid...
You never knew how much I would come to miss you
I didn't tell you nearly enough just how much I loved you.
I appreciated all you did since you raised me to be more than a kid.
You took me in as one of your own when I felt oh so alone.
When my own mother refused to be there and to care.
However you where always there,
thus you shone there are people out there in this cruel world who care.
Those who take the time to understand why you are the way you are.
People who make you feel like you are worthwhile.
Ones who know you are not some reject who is unloved,
but simply a loving, and very caring person if people would just give you a chance instead of passing judgement at a glance.
Now all I wish is if my tears could build a stairway, and my memories were a lane...
I would walk right up to heaven to bring you my angel home again.
For in this world we need more people who are just as beautiful as you.
You never lost your faith even when times were grim,
thus you showed me how to be strong, to carry on.
You now live on inside of me even though I can no longer see you or touch you I know you are never far. When I look up at the stars.
In loving Memory of Claudia McHenry

Very very good. i felt everything and im sorry... great, but in the end i felt like i was reading a story and not a poem, the structure seemed to fall off.

I am sorry that you've lost someone that you truly cared for. It is very hard to lose someone you love. Trust me, I've been there. I've lost 5 people that I truly loved and never had a chance to say my final goodbye either. I look forward to reading more of yours. Keep up the excellent job. You are a truly talented poet. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
