How could you leave
before I said
goodbye?
How could I miss my
only chance
to cry?
So many words just
had to stay
unsaid.
you left me here to
say them in
my head.
I know, you had to fly.
Is this the end?

Well, it sorta came from the contest prompt, but it is also how I felt after my grandma died. It was sudden, and I was a teenager and mad and scared and lonely without her. I know that she's up in heaven now, but at the time I was too emotional/ young to really feel that, ya know?

well done and believe me I still cant believe they are gone at times when I think of all the tears and laughter shared with them and the many stories told by extended family as well. But even though they are gone and have flown to become angels themselves - they arent really gone as they live inside of me and my family. My Mom was one who refused to say the words Good-bye as to her they were too final so she would only say so long xx
