Sing For Those Like Us

In the deepest kind of slumber
We cannot hear someone whisper
Their woes right in our ear
We lose ground as they fade away
And cry before you can catch their tears
There was always an element of pain
And a quiet way to die
We'd wither slowly and break
As we heard those whispers in our ears
Why was it a whisper
When we lay so far away
In a place where no one wakes up
You can fall with me if you like
And I'll tie myself up in chains
Watch me dangle in this cage of mine
That life s conveniently made
You won't hear me whisper
Or see these tears make a trail on my face
Let yourself be free
And fly into beauty''s embrace
Whisper a song of love
Give hope to those like us
Who lost it so long ago
Let the whispering melody shift through
The changing times and places
To seek out all those heart broken souls
And people with no place to go
Softly, you can help draw them in
To that dreamy dimension which is ever so perfect
You can't wake up from there
You can't hear my whispers
