Somber strains in so many solemn seconds
subdued by sanguine streams of sweet, sublime strokes.
Eyelids sing their serene serenades
when one wisp of silky sighs swims with succulent surprises.
Mind slips slowly into deep ravines of darken echoes,
but secretly the soul craves some ribbed tingling excursions
where light shines in hope's bedazzling prisms
and life has a fragrance scented with passion's wings.
All the gnomes of our night creep back into their caves,
heart renews its lust to believe in fairy tales
from the precious tease of kissing a moment so intently
with images of what gives a smile its gold for the spirit.
One simple touch by fate's plume rising from a jester's hat
makes a giggle such reality.
Then we feel euphoria's embrace slide gently through our day.
Riding a glow in warming happiness,
not because a profound earthquake shook our veins,
but through smiling in the shadows
finding laughter in the most unexpected ways.
