I believe that beauty cannot truly be messured by what you see on the outside. true beauty is measured from within it is what attracts people to you, it's not something you can touch it's just who you are, and people who know and truly love you will see you not by appearance but by your inner beauty, your soul.

Yes, it's true, real beauty lies within, although it doesn't hurt if it's attractively packaged. But, I have witnessed so many beautiful women [on the outside], that are so shallow and taken by themselves, that they aren't cognizant at all of what real beauty is. Your write here is a wake-up call for them...

What wonderful message to convey. Whether you are over or under weight. Easy on the eyes or otherwise. I wish this is something I could have read as a child, and I think the message is so positive and forth-right that every young person struggling with outer beauty and self-centered behavior should read this poem.
