Virgin Rose

Tight crimson bud,
Ready to bloom.
Velvety petals,
Heavy with scent,
Moist with dew.
Given in love,
Then never again.
Thorn of pain.
Crimson red blood.

This is excellent .....you portrayed the rose for what it can really be at times , dangerously beautiful and yet so deceptive

This is a beautiful piece, I love red roses, they are so pretty. But their thorns hurt I enjoyed reading this.. Beautifully done.

That's beautiful. Very good work, especially with all the rules you had to work around
