You overcame your deepest fears
And now you're getting well
Your heart can start it's mending now
Though only time will tell
I saw you in your room last night
And my heart froze in my chest
Because the love I hold for you
Outweighs them all the rest
But the doctors say you're doing fine
And will soon be on your way
Soon you will be coming home
And home is where you'll stay
Your family miss your guiding words
The ones they hold on to
They miss the fun they always have
Whenever they're with you
So give us a happy ending
Like in a fairy tale
That won't be that hard for us
Since we know you're getting well

I wrote this for my father. He went in for a triple bypass......That was over 5 years ago. Thank heavens for the life he has yet to live. God Thank you for my dad.

First of all i would like to thank you for entering my contest. Just by doing so, you are giving hope to everyone that this has affected. I really liked the poem, but when you said "I saw you in your room last night", it kind of made it sound a little weird. Sorry if I offended you in any way.
