Mourning View

Making my way through the masquerade
Acidic yellow liquids
dripping from the walls
Staining hospital gowns
Of negligent children
Mindlessly singing

Welcome to Mourning View
Where all bleak eyes fall on you
Where the moonlight shines ruby red
Matching the stain on your bed

Nefarious nurses armed with narcissistic syringes
Savoring the looks in your empty eyes
Deliquescing bodies and maudlining souls
Sifting through old memories
From before you were declared deceased

There is no sanctuary at Mourning View
They know everything you do
There's no saving yourself
Or anyone else
You're all gonna die in this place

Starring down the barrel
Of cancer flavored needles
There is no help for you
There are no mystical remedys in a tube

All of you at Mourning View
Are hopeless causes
The medications are useless
This is the place you come
When the damage has been done
And there is no turning back

Author notes

Sometimes it feels like hospitals are places people go to die, like the scenic route to the morgue.

I used the wordbank and yes, I read the rules. :)

A very interesting take of the wordbank, liked the metaphor in this, quite chilling actually. Thank you for your entry. Love, C
