tiny spectrums of light
invisible to the eye
the center of my being
my soul
that will never die
created by my master
a masterpiece of art
he molded me from dust
my body
he perfected every part
yet in his image
he created my soul
the light that shines
within me
and fills a void hole
and when my heart
no longer beats
and my body returns
to dust
my soul will return
to my master
if in him...
I place my trust

Wow
Hi Sassy - This is a beautiful poem - the rhyme and flow great - the content right on - there may be a few places I might tweak it - but all in all - it is beautiful - The C.S. Lewis quote is close - what we are is a spirit being clothed in a flesh and blood body that some day will fall to the ground but our spirit being will keep on trucking - ohhhhhhh we may look back and take a last look - Bless God - Joe
