When I close my eyes
there is darkness but,
I still see you there.
A light emblazoned on my mind.
I hear your voice-your laugh-your trilling 'R's,
and feel my heart
burst into Flame.
When will I be with you, when?
I relive every word, every breath, every sigh
and my eyes shed their
liquid love to soothe the burning desire
these thoughts of you bring.
Snapshot moments of life...
I am dead until I live with you
a mere automaton until inspired by
the breath of your voice in my ear.
'Cinderella and her Prince', 'Rodger and Sonya',
only shadows of ourselves...
Until Sting and Flame
meet and join to
tear away this darkness
when I close my eyes....
