a flow of silk winds ever inward
transience, translucence
slowly spreading velvet wings
to drink the sunlight
glistening, sparkling, glinting the fiery sky
with each mirrored drop of morning dew
that coats its glossy skin
caressing itself each evening
as the light grows thin and dim
the twilight of another day
Author notes
no particular flower in my mind...well, maybe a tulip.

This is nice. It's very peaceful. I enjoyed it, in spite of the fact that you didn't want to commit to any one flower. With so many beautiful blosoms it's hard to do that anyway. Thank you for your comment on my poem.
