If I had one chance
I'd change the world for you
I'd clean up all the mess I made
I'd do it through and through
If I could stop injustice
and save you from heartache
I'd wipe away all of the bad
and fix all our mistakes
If I could cure all sickness
stop pain right in its tracks
I'd fight away all that disease
and put our healing back
If I could answer every wish
that my darling angel had
I'd take the stars out of the sky
and hide away the bad
but my dear babe the night is long
and evil will still exist
all I know that I can do
is greet you with a kiss
Author notes
Just my wish for my future children. I guess its a prayer and a promise all in one.

very beautiful!
I think you should print this out and maybe write it in a special script or something for when you have children.. Idk, like in their rooms or soemthing.. it would be a good reminder to both you and them about the love you have for them.

Thanks very much. It's funny how you can love something that isn't there yet, isn't it.

This is such an endearing (sp?) little poem. It really tells what any mother would wish for their children.. or father I guess. It's certainly what I wish I could do for mine. Maybe one day you can pull this up and read it to them and let them know just how much you cared before they were even born =)
You have a talent! Good luck in all your future works.

It definitely is something that I felt very strongly about. I know people make so many mistake with their children and sometimes this can affect their lives. If I had the choice, I would undo everything bad that I am going to end up doing, before I do it. I feel so sad for some people whose parents don't love them that way, you know that unconditional and completely unhesitant way. I don't even have children yet, but I already know how I will love them. Thanks for the compliments. Good luck to you as well. Remember life is what you make it. So make it great the first time around.
