I'll only feel safe
When I've reached home
When I can see the difference
Between the suburbs and cities
When I'll be able to tell the difference
Between heartbreak and heartache
& I'll only be home when I hear
The trumpets, the pianos
Sing my song
When I can see the difference
From man-made and natural extremes
& I'll be home
I'll be home when i come to the conclusion
That past enemies & timeless friends
Seem to be the exact same
When I've finally reached the wasteland, my home
Youth and faith exist there
Hope and ego thrive here
Where father and son are nothing but words
When we realize Me & Myself aren't really the same
While running in circles,
Trying to find this home,
I can only dream to be able to call this wasteland a house
