Birthday Wishes from a Groundhog!

I’m known to come out every year
But usually when the weather is drear
To see my shadow and predict the Spring
All gather round and nuts they bring

Your birthday my beauty should be so sweet
Giving of gifts from all you meet
I think it’s a great day with the Summer’s glow
That each year more wonderful you grow

So my wish for you is to enjoy the moment
And know from God it is heaven sent
With love, adoration and warmth from the sun
We’ll meet on Allpoetry and rhyme for fun

Author notes

I too have gone through sad times, each year they become further from the pain I first felt!
Know that you are not unique in your pain - and when we bond together and weep with each other - you and I and others will become strong shoulders for those new to disaster.
For we then empathize fully and offer much wisdom!

Of all the entries here, this truly made me smile. It's warm and light-hearted, which I needed. Had to laugh reading the line about the summer's glow. At least it was beautiful weather yesterday, today it's all rain! Thank you for your entry and good luck.
