Can I place a price on you?
How much is a true friend worth?
Have I tested the winds of time?
Have I proven my value and mirth?
Have my heart and soul fought for you?
Is my outer shell all that you see?
Can I take your hand in true friendship?
Is loyalty and caring no longer free?
Is it true there’s a price for everyone?
Then fill in the blank price tag on me.
Author notes
I ended a long standing friendship because they wanted me to lie for them and I wouldn't. They tried to make me feel guilty and said because I was their friend I owed them. It hurt...a lot...but I felt justified in doing it.

This is lovely, just what I asked for. Some great lines in there. Thankyou for taking the time to enter my contest.

A friend shouldn't make you do something that you feel is wrong.
