Waves thrashing
Water swaying high
Tossing the little boat
Here and there
Wouldn’t it be easier
To just jump overboard
And be swallowed up?
The pain would go
The fear, apprehension
Would just wash away
As the tide goes out
But the easy route
Isn’t always the best way
Sometimes you need to work
Work through the pain and fear
Tie things down and move them around
Whatever you need to do, you know it
To get back home safely
Once home, pack your bags
And move on, don’t look back
You’re free
Author notes
Sooo I haven't written a poem in awhile... I haven't written much at all in awhile... sooo this isn't very good. But I decided to try. Hope you like it.
