Doors open and close

One knocks at the door
Out of choice
Where there are many doors
Upon entering it
One regret
That other doors may offer better choice.

Among many doors to knock at
One does not understand
Which leads to where
As one journeys
The left outs
Keep reminding of missed openings.

When one turns back
Comes back from chosen one
The other doors are locked
Keeping one stranded

A choice chance
That one takes up
Opening the door
Regretting later
Is to and fro journey
Culminating in
All the doors shut.

I agree with the door theory very much. This is a very thought provoking poem for that reason. I enjoyed this poem. Thanks for entering.
