She sat alone in restaurant,
gray hair no target for cupid's arrow.
His old eyes watched,
approaching her.
Speaking with affection
she hadn't felt in ages,
awkwardly inviting her to motel.
Sheets engulfed
their naked ecstasy revival.
Afterwards,
tears and sweat bathed spirit
with restored faith
in ageless inner beauty.
