...dear little darling...

[Hello my lovely.]

I’ll never forget the day your mother told me the news.
My heart already loved you.
My sister always had a way with words.
Your so lucky to have her to take care of you.
She’s simply the best.
***
I didn’t know it was possible.
But we all loved you so much.
Before we’d even  seen your beautiful face.
Or your perfect little hands.
***
You are already sweet and wonderful.
A new life to bring our family together again.
Your soft skin and baby smile.
Make me wonder where you hide those little angel wings.
***
I can’t wait for you to grow up.
But I almost wish you’d stay little forever.
You are my favorite person.
Someone who loves back with no question.
***
You are perfect in every way.
The biggest bluest eyes.
Wondering everything about this world.
The littlest baby lips.
That give the best kind of kisses.
Little baby hands.
To hold on a little bit longer when we hug goodbye.
***
I wish that two hundred miles didn’t separate us.
That I could see you every day.
That you could meet your grandma Teresa.
But I'm sure you passed her on the way down from heaven.
So you two must have met.
She was special just like you.
***
Just know that you are loved.
By all of your three aunts and three uncles.
&&&
All of your nanas and papas too.
No matter where we are.
You will always be the first and most special baby.
***
I love you Lynn Marie.

    So Sweet

I can see your love through your neice shining through in this poem. What a treasure for her one day.
