The music lives on,
though the dancers have
long departed. In this
sad ballroom of lost dreams
and empty memories,
the notes of not-quite
forgotten songs linger
in the air--a reminder
of youth and soft indiscretions,
free of malice and adult obsessions.

this was a wonderful take on the prompt.
i thought you expressed it well and the imagery was very vivid.
and im sure this can actually relate to things aswell.
a wonderful write but with a sense of sadness for the loss of dreams
well done and best of luck

I wonder Bill how often we hear a piece of music that takes us back in time to a more softer and wonderful time. I think we have all spent at least some time in that sad ballroom of lost dreams.. Excellent write....mal
