Classical Ambrosa

As the chords are strung in fervor
And the notes are plucked in rhyme
My heart swells with the music
And my mind is lost in time

As the orchestra plays loudly
And fills my ears and soul
The senses soar in wonder
At the sounds of classical

Then the notes sway into softness
And soothe my spirit calm
Whisp'ring sweet of beauty
Easing aching as a balm

The strings and winds and iv'ry
Speak sensual as they are
Trickling like a river
O'er the beatings of my heart

And ever shall I ponder
The sweetest strains of sound
That drift across my spirit
And lift it from the ground

Do yourself a favour: listen to Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 In C Minor ... it is a slice of paradise.

I like this poem because it really captures listening to music and I like to do that when I play the piano or listen to a cd. I havent listened to the concerto but maybe I will!!! That's a really great poem.
