Step beyond the Frame

If I saw my reflection
Shining through another's soul
I would hold fast
Step beyond the frame
Beyond the glass
And at last learn to dance
In someone's eyes

Inept at speaking words held deep within
When souls collide
So gentle is the freedom found within
Those hidden places
Where we seek to hide
From those soul searching eyes

At last we breathe
In rhythms of ghost like tunes
Melodies played, so long ago
Words cannot convey
What is already known
When we step out beyond the frame
And swim
In someone else's eyes

    EXCELLENT!!!

The eyes are the window to the soul! I love how it feels to dance, swim, DROWN in a loved one's eyes! That feeling was eloquently expressed in your lovely poem! Kudos!

This is truly beautiful. Someone’s eyes can show us heaven or hell. Looking into them we see not only their soul but a reflection of ourselves. I think your poem is so much more eloquent then the one I wrote about Joe’s Eyes.

Beautiful and perfectly formed - particularly liked the lines:
"And at last learn to dance
    In someone's eyes "

    Take care & best wishes.

Such wonderful flow to this piece. I think we all wish we could "step out beyond the frame" from time to time. We would probably learn a lot about ourselves. Excellent write.

Very imaginative. I enjoyed the easiness of how it read and how it made me want to "step out beyond the frame"

I've always liked the fact that we can "exist in another's eyes". I enjoyed this poem greatly. Keep it up.

I like the repetition you use of "stepping beyond the frame", it's an interesting concept. A beautiful poem.

Oh my Gill , this is simply beautiful and I feel so honored and flatterd that something I wrote had the impact for someone else to understand and then give it enough thought to get the inspiration to write sort of a follow up { that is what I would call this } You did a wonderful job and it is going into my favs
